Resilience and cost optimizing in large coastal projects can be key to go or no go. CEAC recently acquired and tested a 45′ flume equipped with wave gages, video and network links, telemetry and scanner. We decided to make the use of physical scale models common place in the design process to ensure that our projects and clients benefit from the information that scale models provide, in making structures both resilient and cost effective.
