Blue Lagoon is a landmark attraction/feature in Jamaica’s tourism offerings. NEPA commissioned CEAC to develop planning guidelines, estimate carrying capacity and identify natural hazards. Oceanographic and socioeconomic surveys and oceanographic analysis of currents, waves and landslides have been conducted. We were able to identify opportunities and formulate guidelines for the safe use and development of the area.
