A number of Spanish chains of hotels entered the Jamaican market requiring assistance in planning for coastal hazards and environmental permitting. CEAC and CL Environmental conducted hazard analyses to help define floor levels. Coastal stabilization, beach nourishment as well as the impact of stomp water and sediment runoff on the beach were also modelled to fine-tune the layout of the beach structure. Traffic impacts of the guests and other services were also modelled for the nearby intersections and recommendations were made for the use of existing intersections to minimize impacts. CEAC assisted with all three phases of expansion.
