Post Hurricane Ivan recovery efforts by the Government of Jamaica involved relocating three communities that were ravaged by storm surge. CEAC conducted storm surge modelling and assisted in identifying suitable lands to the 100-year Return Period storm surge and in finding a safe zone for relocation efforts.
